Entry to Nursery
Registration:
The first step in the admissions process is to complete and return the Registration Form (downloadable below) along with the £70.00 registration fee. The Registration Form must have two signatures on it.
Applicants are then invited to undertake a personal tour of the nursery and to meet the Nursery Manager, Mrs Strange, and / or a member of the school’s Senior Management Team. This allows the school to gain a realistic picture of the prospective pupil, and for parents to assure themselves that they are sympathetic to, and supportive of, the school’s objectives and approach to learning.
Entry into Nursery:
Entry into the Nursery is normally at the start of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. Parents can request either 5 x full day or 5 x morning or 5 x afternoon nursery sessions, depending on availability. There is a maximum of 20 children in each session (morning or afternoon).
Accepting a place:
Following the visit to the Nursery we usually make an offer and provide an Acceptance Form. In order to secure a place we ask that it is completed and returned along with a £700 deposit, within a specified amount of time as stipulated by the Registrar or Headteacher. After such time, if we have not heard from the applicant, we assume that they are no longer interested and it will become available to the next registered applicant. Where a place is not immediately available, registered applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
Alternative arrangements may, in some circumstances, be made for non-UK resident applicants.
Occasionally an offer may be withheld or withdrawn in the following circumstances:
- Where a pupil’s previous school or nursery indicates that their behaviour was such that it may inhibit the learning of other pupils.
- Where we cannot adequately provide for a child whose learning difficulties or physical impairments are beyond the support that we are able to offer.
