Off-site sports facilities

Our Senior pupils take advantage of the facilities at the local Wilf Slack ground in Finchley every Friday afternoon. Additionally, Games skills are timetabled and taught at school during the week. From Year 3 upwards pupils learn how to play football/netball (Autumn term); hockey (Spring term); rounders, cricket and athletics (Summer term).

For swimming, we travel to Poolside Manor in Finchley.

Our pupils are bussed to and from these centres regularly and timetables for the games programmes are published at the beginning of the academic year.

In their lessons pupils also have opportunities to develop and to use a range of words and phrases; use apparatus; learn to follow a range of increasingly complex instructions and sets of rules; develop team building and individual skills and talents as well as refining and honing their gross and fine motor skills.
