Houses

All pupils joining Hendon Prep join one of the four 'houses': Constable, Newton, Shakespeare and Britten. There is healthy competition between these houses!

House points are awarded for a variety of endeavours and achievements.

Senior school pupils are given a House Book at the beginning of each term.  The House Book is multi-functional. It acts as a diary in which pupils record their timetable and daily homework. Reminders and comments from class/form teachers are entered, as are rewarded house points and, when sanctioned, penalty points.

Parents in Years 3 - 6 are asked to sign the book each day to indicate that homework has been completed and messages received. In Years 7 - 8 parents are asked to sign the book at the end of each week.

In the Summer Term of Year 2 pupils are introduced to House Books as part of their transition to the Senior School in the following September.
