The benefits of studying Latin

Pupils enjoy the challenge that studying Latin offers: exercising memory when learning vocabulary, finding connections between Latin words and English, French, Spanish (to name just a few languages), using analytical skills when looking for the sense of a sentence in Latin, expanding vocabulary and improving understanding of the English language.

Yet not only "linguists" benefit from learning Latin in our school but also future lawyers, doctors, scientists, entrepreneurs, diplomats, historians, including everyone who likes using his or her brains.

We also offer lessons in Classical Civilisation concentrating on topics required for the Common Entrance Examination. This is a part that all pupils enjoy while discovering great stories from Greek mythology, Roman legends, when they learn about lifestyle, duties and pastimes of a Roman citizen as well as about culture and the legacy of the Great Roman Empire. There is no better way to learn how to "unlock" the past and use children's imagination and creativity.
