Hendon Prep has the great advantage of being located in North London, which enables all our pupils to learn not only from textbooks but use archaeological evidence and various exhibitions available in the British Museum. In the past, pupils have enjoyed visits to Verulamium Museum in St. Albans as well as to the Department of Greek and Latin at the University College London to see great productions of classical plays in translation organised by its students.

We also run Hendon Prep Latin Club for those pupils who want to expand or consolidate their Latin; learn some Greek; have language taster lessons in several European languages; interested in learning more about ancient Greece and Rome and discovering how different yet sometimes familiar those times were.

Our intensive Latin course is based on the textbook and workbook by Theo Zinn entitled "So You Really Want to Learn Latin Prep". However, we also use many other educational materials such as "So You Really Want to Learn Latin Translations", "Cambridge Latin Course", "Ab Initio", including various grammar and exercise books, Common Entrance Examination Practice Papers in Latin and the Internet resources.
