On Tuesday the 31st of January my classmates and I were lucky enough to travel to Stratford Circus and view “Guantanamo Boy”, originally, a novel by Anna Perera.
It tells of a boy named Khalid who was falsely imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay because of a suspected terror plot. The theatre gave justice to the book living up to expectations, however; we were quite disappointed with the ending as it was a bit too ambiguous on what occurred. Nevertheless, the actors were great as it was the first live performance.
We were also lucky enough to meet the director to give him constructive feedback! All in all, a fantastic trip. We rate this play a respectable 7/10.
