Hendon Prep is a multi-national and multi-faith school in a very real sense and this fact is one that helps us in our approach to Religious Studies.  It is an easy matter for us to celebrate various festivals when these are being celebrated in the children's homes. 

The children themselves and their families have much to teach each other and us about the great world religions. We can quickly find common ground when discussing religious practice such as pilgrimage and prayer.  The R.S. department is keen to emphasise the equal worth of religions and to encourage children who are perhaps not academically strong to enjoy this school subject. 

An R.S. lesson is, of course, an equal opportunity event; all people have the same ability, whatever their language or country of origin.  We consider R.S to be highly important at Hendon Prep, for it is through an understanding of religious differences that we recognise and celebrate our similarities and strengths.
