School Trips and Productions

The English curriculum is supported by numerous exciting and inspiring trips. Amongst these are trips to the Globe, The Royal Albert Hall, The Finchley Arts Depot and The Southwark Playhouse to see popular productions such as Twelfth Night, Philip Pullman's Scarecrow and William Golding' Lord of Flies. Class outings include taking part in creative writing workshops, exploring theatres behind the scenes and stepping into the actors' shows for a day!

Pupils at Hendon Prep equally benefit from having professional theatre companies regularly visit the school and perform everything from Shakespeare plays to entertaining pantomimes, where pupil involvement is paramount.

Great emphasis is put on Speaking and Listening activities and Drama in both the pupils' English and Performing Arts sessions. Children form Reception to Year 8 put on yearly onstage productions ranging from exquisite junior Nativity plays to 'all singing and dancing' senior school musicals.
