“My children have been studying at Hendon Preparatory school for the past 2 years. I have noticed great improvement not only academically, but also in terms of their confidence and other important life skills. Hendon Prep School Journey

(2 to 4 years old)Hendon Prep Nursery our main aim is to provide a setting where the children feel emotionally safe and secure. The environment is friendly, stimulating and nurturing; allowing the children to develop through exploration and investigation.

(5 to 7 years old)

The range of ability amongst the children will continue to be quite broad at this stage therefore a high level of differentiation is used across the curriculum to ensure that all pupils are being appropriately challenged. The curriculum in our dynamic Reception class is enriched by subject specialist teaching in French, Art, Music and ICT. These areas of learning run parallel with the expert teaching from our Early Years trained Reception Teachers.

(8 to 13 years old)Our aim is to enrich the children’s learning and broaden their horizons. In Year 4 children are encouraged to take academic risks and become confident and more independent learners. From Year 5 onwards the way in which the children work changes completely.  They are no longer primarily based in one room but move around the school and are taught by individual subject teachers in dedicated classrooms.
