World Book Day

World Book Day
Thursday 1st March was the 21st year there’s been a World Book Day. The main aim of World Book Day in the UK and Ireland is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading. It is a day for children of all ages to come together to appreciate reading, very loudly and very happily.
The children at Hendon Prep battled through the snow, dressed as their favourite character from a book, to join in the fun and raise money for the Roald Dahl Children’s Charity – and didn’t they look fabulous!
