Hendon Prep is a small independent day school and preschool in north London for girls and boys aged 3–11. In its most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate visit (January 2026), the school met all standards across all five areas under the updated Framework 23 inspection criteria, a strong endorsement of the quality of provision across the school.

FACILITIES & LOCATION
Situated in the leafy north London suburb of Hendon
The school provides a fantastic range of facilities to enhance pupils’ learning and experience. We have bright and well-resourced classrooms, complete with an ICT suite, dedicated Art and Design studio, music room, library and a fully equipped science laboratory.
A large playground and outside classroom give pupils much needed space for play and outdoor learning. With a planting area, amphitheatre, Astroturf football and netball pitch and giant chess board, playtimes are full of fun at Hendon Prep.
Besides using the wonderful playground for sports and PE lessons, the school also makes use of fabulous local facilities such as Poolside Manor Swimming Pool and Power League.

We are delighted to have been named a Finalist for “Best Use of Education Technology” at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2025! This recognition reflects of our innovative use of educational technology. We're thrilled to announce that Hendon Prep has been named a Finalist in the Muddy's Best School Awards 2024 for Best Experiential Learning! Judges were impressed by our innovative teaching methods and engaging learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. This award is a testament to our Enrichment Afternoon initiative, reflecting the dedication of our teaching team and students who collaboratively developed it to enhance our dynamic and inclusive curriculum.
