Alongside our excellent academic reputation and outstanding 11+ outcomes for families who prefer not to follow the 11+ exam route, we offer an automatic transfer pathway to Mount House School, also part of the Blenheim Schools Group. So, at Hendon Prep, you genuinely get the best of both worlds: a traditional prep school also with a through‑school pathway that gives your child real choice at 11+.

FACILITIES & LOCATION
Situated in the leafy north London suburb of Hendon
The school provides a fantastic range of facilities to enhance pupils’ learning and experience. We have bright and well-resourced classrooms, complete with an ICT suite, dedicated Art and Design studio, music room, library and a fully equipped science laboratory.
A large playground and outside classroom give pupils much needed space for play and outdoor learning. With a planting area, amphitheatre, Astroturf football and netball pitch and giant chess board, playtimes are full of fun at Hendon Prep.
Besides using the wonderful playground for sports and PE lessons, the school also makes use of fabulous local facilities such as Poolside Manor Swimming Pool and Power League.

From stepping inside a giant soap bubble and a dazzling kaleidoscope, to experimenting with shapes, cracking secret codes, and solving fascinating puzzles, maths came to life in the most hands‑on, interactive ways. 🔢🧩
The highlight? A Leonardo dome workshop, where pupils worked together to build a self‑supporting wooden structure… then stepped inside and carefully dismantled it from within! 🪵🔧
Such an amazing day of discovering the hidden maths in everyday life, sparking curiosity, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills. 🌟💡

✨ Year 6 had an amazing day out at the British Museum! 🏛️
The highlight was a fascinating workshop led by a historian specialising in the Benin Kingdom (in present‑day Nigeria). The children were totally captivated as they explored the kingdom’s beliefs, daily life and rich history.
Afterwards, we wandered through incredible galleries, from Mesoamerica to Ancient Greece, making links to our learning in school and discovering brand‑new artefacts along the way. 🏺🌍

Our Pre-School children have been having the most amazing time in our immersive classroom! ✨
From popping bubbles of all shapes and sizes 🫧to stomping around like mighty dinosaurs 🦖 and even flying through the sky like aeroplanes ✈️ every moment has been filled with laughter, movement, and imagination.
They’ve also loved diving into the deep blue sea 🌊 exploring underwater worlds, discovering sea creatures, and letting their curiosity lead the way.
Learning through play has never been so exciting, we’re so proud of their creativity, confidence, and sense of adventure! 💜

Year 1 took us on an incredible adventure last week!🐘
Their class assembly, “We All Went on Safari”, transported us straight to the African Savannah as they introduced the amazing animals who call it home. 🦓🦁
They also reminded us how important it is to protect our world, because without care, these beautiful habitats may disappear for future generations. 💚🌱
With singing, performing, and even playing musical instruments, they absolutely shone on stage. 🎶🥁

Our Reception class was the very first to explore our brand‑new Immersive Classroom at Hendon Prep, and what an incredible adventure it was! 🤩
The children jumped straight into a world of interactive learning, trying out a variety of exciting educational games that got them moving, thinking, collaborating and smiling from ear to ear. They wrapped up their session with a joyful bubble‑popping party, filling the room with laughter and pure delight! 🎊
This innovative space isn’t just fun, it also brings powerful learning benefits. Immersive environments help pupils develop stronger problem‑solving skills, deepen their curiosity, and engage more confidently with new concepts. By surrounding children with sights, sounds and interactive elements, an immersive classroom enhances focus, encourages teamwork and supports learning through real‑world exploration.
The creation of this space forms part of the new investment into Hendon Prep by the Blenheim Schools Group, reflecting their commitment to enriching our learning environment and ensuring our pupils have access to the most exciting and impactful educational tools available.

✨ Red Nose Day at Hendon Prep! 🔴🤡
Today, all the pupils at Hendon Prep came together to celebrate Red Nose Day with plenty of learning, laughter, and creativity!
The children started the day by discovering the history of Red Nose Day, exploring how it began and the incredible ways it helps people across the UK and around the world. 🌍 They learned how the money raised supports communities, funds vital projects, and brings positive change to those who need it most.
After learning about its impact, the pupils let their imaginations shine by designing and making their very own red noses. 🎨🤩 Each one was completely unique, full of colour, fun details, and so much personality!
It was a fun‑filled day celebrating kindness, creativity, and community spirit. Hendon Prep was bursting with colour, smiles, and wonderfully inventive noses! 💜💛

✨ Year 3 Explore the Events of Holy Week ✨
Our Year 3 pupils have been diving into the key moments of Holy Week as part of their RE learning. Through story, discussion and role play, they journeyed from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, thinking deeply about the emotions, challenges and hope within the Easter story.
They especially loved re‑telling the events in their own words and reflecting on why Holy Week is such an important time for Christians. Mrs Jacob is so proud of the thoughtful questions and insights they shared ✨🙏

Congratulations to Our Year 6 Cohort on Their Senior School Outcomes.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the impressive Senior School outcomes achieved by our Year 6 this year.
They achieved some amazing results: 34 Senior School offers including 5 scholarships, 2 Grammar School offers, and 7 offers from leading independent schools. These achievements highlight the diverse strengths and talents across the year group and the confidence that schools across the region have in Hendon pupils.
These outcomes represent a significant milestone in our pupils` learning journey and an acknowledgement of the effort, growth, and determination they have shown along the way. They truly reflect our commitment to inspire, empower, include.
