The Reception class have been learning all about the life-cycle of a butterfly. They looked after the tiny caterpillars until they cocooned themselves and then eventually emerged as beautiful butterflies. They have now let all of the wonderful butterflies go however one of them seemed rather reluctant to leave the children. Eventually it flew up into the trees and the children all waived it good bye.

Year 6 went on a fascinating trip to the Greenwich Royal Observatory where they visited the museum and the planetarium. Year 6 enjoyed a fascinating trip to the Roman Verulamium in St Albans to gain an understanding of everyday life in Roman Britain. Verulamium was the third largest city of Roman Britain and the museum, stands on the site of the Roman town. The Nursery children recently enjoyed an afternoon in our fabulous outside classroom. Whilst the older children ‘painted’ their names using water and used whatever they could find laying around to make their initials the younger children thoroughly enjoyed themselves making ‘delicious’ mud pies using the outside kitchen. Today we all said goodbye to the six chicks which hatched in school.
